The goal of the Virtual Teams program is to bring together undergraduate students in computing from diverse programs to leverage from in each other’s experiences, and that of a mentor, to encourage completion of the undergraduate degree. Significant evidence indicates the need and importance of having peer-groups to provide the needed support for academic program completion. The Virtual Teams program draws from undergraduate students who attend the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference.
